The university dream
|
When it comes to pinpointing what makes working at HKBN special, there's little doubt our focus on Talent benefits and development deserves a nod.
With 3,000 Talents, we're well aware that – for many valid reasons – not everyone at HKBN could've pursued a higher education in their youth. Just like how we've always advocated life-long learning to create better futures for our Talents, HKBN teamed up with the Hong Kong Management Association to organise "Next Station: University" programme (NSU) in 2009. Thanks to this generous sponsorship scheme, NSU's five-year experience enabled 30 HKBN Talents from Hong Kong and Guangzhou to live out their dreams of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
Following this success, NSU II commenced again last year with a streamlined three-year curriculum. In its second rendition, 37 Talents are currently enrolled to take charge of their career prospects, as they balance family, work and a post-secondary education from Glyndwr University, UK.
