Shadowing an Eagle Becomes Opportunity-of-a-Lifetime

  Dear Friends of HKBN

Learning to Fly from an Eagle

The transfer of knowledge, particularly if it serves a mentorship-like liaison between individuals, is a magical thing. At HKBN, we liken this to the miracle of flight when an eagle has guided its young to master flying, for the first time, through the skies.

Now imagine the following: how would your early career have gained from an opportunity to experience life behind-the-scenes for a seasoned CEO? Chances are, your answer – like ours – anticipates big, big benefits. Mindful that ideas unique to HKBN warrant sharing, we partnered with the Classified Post's Shadow a CEO program to give two aspiring university students, Charles Chiu and Ritchie Wong, an opportunity to soak up some life-changing inspiration.

Across three full days of shadowing, Charles and Ritchie gladly sat alongside our indefatigable CEO William on meetings and conversations, gaining an insider view of how top-level business is conducted. Besides coming away privy to how decisions are formulated towards the big picture, a mainstay of our contribution featured a selection of immersive experiences, including engagements with key members from our team, attendance to an external business meeting, serving customers at our HKBN retail shop, and even a test of fitness by partaking in our professional marathon training – all to encapsulate the distinctiveness of life at HKBN.
