A New Year’s Gift from Kwai Chung, with Love

At HKBN, when we adopted “Make Hong Kong a better place to live” as our core purpose, our intent was not exclusive only towards long-term residents, but also for those who come to work and – albeit temporarily – call this city home. That is why when we became aware of the plight faced by many pregnant migrant workers – they lose their jobs and become vulnerable with no future for them and their newborn – we volunteered to help PathFinders, a local charity committed to the aid of such helpless migrant mothers and their children, by collecting a good number of pre-loved and new baby supplies.

Through the enthusiasm of HKBN Talents, word spread quickly about our charity drive, so much so that even the building management office at our Kwai Chung headquarters pitched in – a donation station for other tenants was promptly made available. And in the span of merely two weeks, more than 900 items – consisting of clothing, winter apparel and even baby strollers – were selflessly donated by Talents and fellow tenants.

While these items will surely provide many needy mothers with essential childcare supplies, we believe we and our fellow tenants are not alone in thinking even more people are keen to help. And that’s why we’re sharing this to ask our friends to consider how you too can make a difference.
