Next Station University II: Re-inspiring HKBN’s 2,500 Families via Changing the Lives of 40 Students

Life, liberty and the pursuit of a better future. Sure it’s a light-hearted twist to a sacred American tenet, but there’s no denying how serious we are about life-long development of our HKBN colleagues.

Ever since our first batch of 30 NSU Talents poured their heart and soul – balancing life, work and academic priorities over five long years – to graduate from our first Next Station: University (NSU) Programme in 2014, we at HKBN were left absolutely inspired by the grit and perseverance shown. And so we couldn’t wait to restart the journey for another class of HKBNers. Welcome to NSU II, where passion is a requirement, not an elective.

More than giving their status quo – as HKBNers without formal university experience – a status update, NSU II is where Talents step up to take charge over the future. In time, and with a university degree behind them, these HKBNers will see their careers rewritten through opportunities previously unreachable. And of course, this impact and the potential upshot will yield life changing benefits for those around them. We believe that by changing the lives of these 40 students, we can inspire HKBN’s 2,500 families, and in turn impact Hong Kong’s 2.5 million households. In short, we’re taking another step forward in realising our core purpose to “Make our Hong Kong a better place to live”.

This time, NSU II is streamlined into a three-year sponsorship programme, where our freshman class of 40 HKBNers will devote their time to pursue a BA in Business from Glyndŵr University, UK. For a full profile of these 40 amazing HKBNers and a programme overview of NSU II, please click here.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on NSU II. Share your feedback and opinions by contacting our Programme Lead, Edith Kam at +852 3999 2921 or edith.kam@hkbn.com.hk.
